The difference between the Mild Type and the Regular Type Niwa SOD like action foods

One of the ingredients is different – the Regular Type contains powdered green tea, whereas the Mild Type contains powdered du zhong green tea. This came about as a result of Dr. Yukie (Kozo) Niwa’s long and extensive clinical testing and development of his products. Dr. Yukie (Kozo) Niwa developed a method of reducing the size of the molecules in the natural antioxidants derived from natural plants and seeds, and converting them into an oil solution. This early product was just as effective as the present day Niwa SOD like action foods, but it also caused adverse reactions such as nausea, erosion and ulcers in the stomach. These symptoms were caused by one of the ingredients, powdered green tea. First, he tried a different method of processing the green tea. This reduced the symptoms to a certain extent, but it was not enough. Essentially, the products were to be taken when the stomach is empty, to improve absorption into the body. But he tried administering it in between meals or after meals to reduce the burden on the stomach. But he knew this was not a solution to the problem itself. After a great deal of trial and error, he finally solved the problem by using powdered du zhong green tea instead of powdered green tea, although its antioxidation effect was slightly lower. This is why two types, Mild and Regular, with slightly different ingredients, are offered today.

Dosage information on Niwa SOD like action foods

A standard dosage is 2-3 packets a day for the maintenance of health, and 6-9 packets a day for alleviating existing symptoms. Divide the daily dosage into 2-3 servings and take it 2-3 times a day when the stomach is empty. It is important to chew it well and mix it with saliva. This improves digestion and absorption of the active ingredients into the body. If chewing makes your mouth feel dry, you can take it with a drink under 60°C in temperature, or mix it into yoghurt or ice cream. Be sure that you do not mix it with a hot substance that is more than 60°C, or the active ingredients will be destroyed. The ideal amount of dosage differs with each person. Even if it is taken for treatment purposes, the amount should be readjusted according to your health – decrease to 3-4 packets a day if the symptoms get better, and increase the amount again if they get worse. According to Dr. Yukie (Kozo) Niwa, daily intake seems to lead to earlier cure. If you are taking it for treatment purposes, it is recommended to start at 9-12 packets a day. For health maintenance purposes, even a small dosage of 1-3 packets a day improves your health condition if it is taken continuously for a long period of time.
